Doughnut Positioning System Streamlines Frying And Glazing Process

The Challenge
Having a bottleneck in the production line means lost productivity. When producing these doughnuts, it was a challenge to deliver the trays of product to the glazing oven. Frustrated with manufacturers pushing a single technology solution, the customer was pleased to see Parker provided the design fit for the application without overkill or skimping on performance.

The Solution
Parker's Origa Series Product line offers both a pneumatic and an electric version of the rodless linear actuators and can be built into many different configurations. Parker designed a pick and place gantry system with electric positioning on the vertical axis and pneumatic positioning on the horizontal axis. This solution allowed the customer to purchase 1 part number from 1 vendor in an optimized fashion.

OSP-P Modular Linear Drive System
The ORIGA System Plus, OSP-P Modular Linear Drive Systems offers pneumatic actuation and guidance and control modules to suit the exact needs of individual Food and Beverage installations. The actuators at the core of the system all have a common aluminum extruded profile, with double dovetail mounting rails on three sides. These are the principle building blocks of the system to which all modular options are directly attached.
