The Challenge
As the yeast is extruded in a rope format, the machine was set to cut individual portions for wrapping and packing. Machine limitations restricted the production to 120 products per minute. With the need to improve efficiency, the customer searched for a solution that would allow for these cakes of 0.5kg and 1kg to be produced as fast as possible.

The Solution
Relying on its breadth of product and food processing knowledge, Parker designed an electromechanical system including drives, actuators, controls, and machine interface to provide the optimal solution. The InteractX HMI allowed for easy recipe management with communications to the Compax3 servo drive and controller. Ultimately, the Parker ETH Series was used for the linear motor technology and high speed capabilities.
