Temperature Sensor

Available as a standard, foot, probe, or clamp design sensor, SensoNODE Blue temperature sensors are designed for accurate tracking of in-line or ambient temperatures. Temperatures are measured in Fahrenheit or Celsius, as defined by the user, and provide readings in temperature ranges of:

Standard Sensor
  • Fluid: -40°F to 230°F (-40°C to 110°C)
  • Ambient: -4°F to 167°F (-20°C to 75°C)
Clamp Sensor
  • Fluid: -40°F to 257°F (-40°C to 125°C)
  • Ambient: -4°F to 167°F (-20°C to 125°C)

Standard sensors are constructed with a durable, corrosion-resistant polycarbonate housing and fluorocarbon body seal for reliable use in even the harshest of conditions. Clamp sensors are made from a nylon housing material with a nitrile-based body seal. Other features include:

  • Ports: Male NPTF and SAE for easier and faster plumbing and connecting
  • User-selectable scan and transmit rates (mode dependent). Currently 1, 2, 5, and 10 seconds. Refer to SCOUT Mobile for the up-to-date capabilities and modalities
  • LED indicator aids in identifying sensor status

MARKET APPLICATIONS

SensoNODE Blue pressure sensors are compatible with a wide range of applications in a number of markets, including:

Injection Molding
Problem:
From the mold tool area to the water lines and the mold itself, varying temperatures can lead to:

  • Part deformity
  • Stress cracks
  • Increased scrap

Solution:
Placing temperature sensors at different points throughout the injection process helps users to:

  • Track real-time data on their mobile device
  • Monitor ambient temperatures
  • Diagnose in-line temperature issues

Metal Forming and Fabrication
Problem:
Any inconsistencies in asset temperatures can have damaging effects, including:

  • Overheating assets
  • Reduced precision
  • Long-term asset damage

Solution:
Installing temperature sensors on job-critical assets helps users to:

  • Track real-time data on their mobile device
  • Monitor ambient temperatures
  • Diagnose in-line temperature issues

Power Generation
Problem:
Turbines that aren’t well lubricated or cooled with clean oil are subject to:

  • Overheating
  • Innefficient operation

Solution:
Identify when turbine filters and/or oil need replaced by monitoring for temperature changes in:

  • Hydraulic lift pumps
  • Diverter damper controls
  • Hydraulic power units

Mobile Equipment
Problem:
Any inconsistencies in machinery temperatures can have damaging effects, including:

  • Overheating
  • Break-down
  • Long-term damage

Solution:
Installing temperature sensors in areas of interest helps users to:

  • Track real-time data on their mobile device
  • Diagnose in-line temperature issues

Welding and Industrial Gas
Problem:
If left unattended, increased or decreased temperatures outside of the optimal level can lead to:

  • Innefficient operation
  • Asset damage
  • Potentially dangerous situations

Solution: Using SensoNODE sensors to wirelessly monitor tank levels allows workers to:

  • Track gas temperatures on their mobile device
  • Monitor ambient temperatures
  • Diagnose temperature issues early
