Pressure Sensor

SensoNODE Blue pressure sensors are designed for accurate monitoring with the most commonly used pressures in industry:

  • 14.5-14.5 psi/-1 to 1 bar
  • 0-150 psi/10 bar
  • 0-1500 psi/100 bar
  • 0-3625 psi/250 bar
  • 0-5800 psi/400 bar
  • 0-8700 psi/600 bar

Sensors are constructed with a durable, corrosion-resistant polycarbonate housing and fluorocarbon body seal for reliable use in even the harshest of conditions. Other features include:

  • Ports: Male NPT, SAE, couplings (push-button, sleeve-operated, EMA3) for easier and faster plumbing and connecting
  • Can also provide temperature values within a range of -40°F to 230°F (-40°C to 110°C)
  • User-selectable scan and transmit rates (mode dependent). Currently 1, 2, 5, and 10 seconds. Refer to SCOUT Mobile for the up-to-date capabilities and modalities
  • LED indicator aids in identifying sensor status

MARKET APPLICATIONS

SensoNODE Blue pressure sensors are compatible with a wide range of applications in a number of markets, including:

Injection Molding
Problem:
From the injection screw to the clamp that holds the mold shut, insufficient pressure can lead to:

  • Partially filled molds
  • Batch inconsistencies
  • Trapped air/moisture

Solution:
Sensors detect the slightest change in pressure and relay that information to a mobile device, which will:

  • Alert users to any pressure drop
  • Allow workers to diagnose issues early

Metal Forming and Fabrication
Problem:
Incorrect pressure levels for any hydraulically or pneumatically driven tools and assets can lead to:

  • Overload or failure
  • Overworked assets
  • Decreased operation efficiency

Solution:
Sensors can detect the slightest change in pressure and relay that information to a user’s mobile device, which will:

  • Alert users to any pressure drop
  • Allow workers to diagnose issues early
  • Reduce scrap and rework

Power Generation
Problem:
Increased plant fuel consumption and/or reduced output can be telltale signs of:

  • Compromised integrity of rotary components
  • Turbine structural damage

Solution:
Determine potential turbine issues by monitoring for pressure changes in systems, such as:

  • Hydraulic lift pumps, power units, and cylinders
  • Diverter damper controls
  • Nitrogen generators

Mobile Equipment
Problem:
Incorrect pressure levels for hydraulic lines can lead to:

  • Overload or failure
  • Overworked assets
  • Decreased operation efficiency

Solution:
Sensors can detect the slightest change in pressure and relay that information to a mobile device, which will:

  • Alert users to any pressure drop
  • Allow workers to diagnose issues early
  • Minimize downtime

Welding and Industrial Gas
Problem:
Sudden drops in pressure can lead to multiple issues with efficiency and cost:

  • Costly production interruptions
  • Asset operation faults
  • Sign that tank is depleted

Solution: Sensors detect the slightest change in pressure and relay that information to a user’s mobile device, which will:

  • Alert users to any pressure drop
  • Monitor pressure wirelessly
  • Allow workers to diagnose issues early
