Humidity Sensor

SensoNODE Blue humidity sensors measure 0% to 100% relative humidity and are ideal for both ambient and inert compressed gas monitoring applications.

Sensors should be mounted vertically.

Sensors are constructed with a durable, corrosion-resistant polycarbonate housing, as well as a fluorocarbon and nitrile body seal for reliable use in even the harshest of conditions. Other features include:

  • Ports: Male NPTF for easier and faster plumbing and connecting
  • User-selectable scan and transmit rates (mode dependent). Currently 1, 2, 5, and 10 seconds. Refer to SCOUT Mobile for the up-to-date capabilities and modalities
  • Sensor also provides temperature values
  • LED indicator aids in identifying sensor status

MARKET APPLICATIONS

SensoNODE Blue humidity sensors are compatible with a wide range of applications in a number of markets, including:

Injection Molding
Problem:
Increased humidity in storage containers and the process lines can add moisture to the resin, which:

  • Changes the resin’s properties
  • Prevents it from molding properly

Solution:
Humidity sensors monitor in-line and ambient humidity levels, allowing users to:

  • Track gradual trends of increased facility humidity
  • Better diagnose in-line humidity issues

Metal Forming and Fabrication
Problem:
In-line and ambient humidity can lead to moisture in critical assets, causing:

  • Corrosion and rust
  • Increased dew point in compressed air lines
  • Increased wear of moving parts

Solution:
Humidity sensors monitor in-line and ambient humidity levels, allowing users to:

  • Track gradual trends of increased facility humidity
  • Better diagnose in-line humidity issues

Power Generation
Problem:
Increased humidity due to operating conditions can create excessive moisture, which threatens the turbine’s gearbox with:

  • Corrosion
  • Reduced efficiency
  • Breakdown

Solution:
Humidity sensors monitor in-line and ambient humidity levels, allowing users to:

  • Track gradual trends of increased facility humidity
  • Better diagnose in-line humidity issues
  • Closely monitor nitrogen generator levels
