The Challenge
A customer using a different brand of valves was experiencing repeated valve failures. These valves controlled pilot-operated process control valves and were critical in the quality of the dairy product. Failures and valve downtime reduced the dairy processing plants profitability and reliability.

The Solution
Parker modified an existing ISO15407-2 valve married to an H-Series IP system to solve the challenge at hand. The result was a reliable, easy to integrate, flexible valve design with short lead times and a long product life.

ISO 15407-2 Valve
These external electrical connection subbase valves offer flexibility, fast response, and high performance. Parker's H-Series valve line offers a complete ISO valve package, from 18mm and 26mm valves, to the larger ISO size 1, 2, and 3 valves, all available in either plug-in or individual connector options. The H-Series provide fieldbus preferred connectivity with digital and analog input and output modules.

H-Series Fieldbus Systems are the ideal solution to reduce installation time and machine cost for your pneumatic valve manifolds. H-Series has four major components: (1) Valve driver module provide control for 32 solenoids on a manifold, with bus extension providing connectivity to 3 more manifolds; (2) I/O modules provide the field interface, system interface circuitry, and bases for mounting; (3) Communication modules provide the network interface circuitry; and (4) Power distribution module provide 5 additional power inputs to the H-Series system.
