Air Dryer Helps Prevent Valves and Cylinders from Sticking

The Challenge
A global equipment OEM building fruit weigh-and-fill machines was experience sticking valves and cylinders resulting from changing moisture conditions during international shipping. This necessitated time-consuming travel to remote locations for warranty repairs, forcing the end user growers and processors into long periods of downtime. The company's existing refrigerated air dryers could not solve the problem.

The Solution
Understanding the time-sensitive nature of fruit packaging, Parker combined a Bulk Liquid Separator (P3TFA94WCAN), a Refrigerated Air Dryer with automatic drain (PDRD15-115160), fittings and tubing. The innovative solution:

• Eliminated warranty replacement and travel costs
• Greatly reduced long equipment downtime and resulting lost product sales
• Created a more reliable and efficient compressor system for the OEM
• Improved the OEM's reputation and brand image
