Innovations in Bioprocessing

  • Pre-calibrated single-use sensors

    Our range of SciLog® sensors for pressure, conductivity and temperature monitoring are unique because they are the only pre-calibrated and pre-validated single-use sensors available for bioprocessing applications. The sensors incorporate a gamma-stable memory device that stores data of all calibration as well as sensor specific information. 

    Optimization of TFF operations through transmembrane pressure (TMP) control

    Our pilot and GMP tangential flow filtration (TFF) systems feature automated TMP control. These systems monitor and automatically adjust TMP during operation to maintain optimal filtration performance.  Watch this animation of our SciLog® SciFlex TFF system to find out more. 

    R/P Stat method for up to 30% enhancement in filter yield

    As well as constant pressure and constant flow operations, all SciLog® normal flow filtration (NFF) systems feature the patented R/P Stat Mode, a novel method that delivers a higher degree of filter capacity utilization when compared to other NFF procedures. By using the R/P Stat method, as the membrane begins to foul, the system dynamically adjusts the flow rate which allows up to 30% more filter throughput.

    SciLog® SciFlex Filter and Dispense System

    A novel solution, developed in collaboration with a well known contract manufacturing organization, the SciFlex Filter and Dispense System automates a 10-step final bulk filtration and container fill. The system has been designed for closed processing, protecting high value biopharmaceuticals from contamination and preventing operator exposure to potent molecules.
